Chapter Philanthropy and Service

 

For a small school, we make a big impact. Our Chapter was named the top fundraising chapter in the 2014-2015 school year among Tri Delta Chapters with 1-90 members. We raised $33,524.36 towards St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Tulsa Tri Delta organizes three events during the academic year. 

Pancake Breakfast is a crowd favorite. Every December, students, faculty and pancake lovers are invited to our house for an all-you-can-eat breakfast. All pancake proceeds benefit St. Jude. To add to the fun, we like to have special guests like Santa, his elves, and Delta Dolphins come visit!

Tri Delta also raises awareness and money for our philanthropy by hosting Hoops for Hope, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Students form teams and with help from their Tri Delta coaches compete for first place. 

Sincerely Yours serves as our opportunity to tell family and friends about the Tri Delta/St. Jude partnership. We send letters requesting St. Jude donations on our chapter’s behalf. The response from our letter writing campaign is always positive as this event raises 75% of our annual St. Jude donation. Our 2015 event had a pajama party theme!

Additionally, individual members develop such a strong attachment and appreciation for our philanthropy that they do things individually that benefit St. Jude! Several members choose to participate in the St. Jude Walk/Run to raise money for our favorite organization.
